SQUAD: TAYLOR SWIFT & ALESSIA CARA

The mutual admiration society between superstar Taylor Swift and up-and-coming star Alessia Cara is no secret, and the two got together in a big way a few weeks ago at the Tampa stop of Swift's 1989 tour.

Taylor invited Cara onstage to sing "Here" in front of 55,000 people then also took time out to sit down with the 19 year-old singer backstage to girl-chat about songwriting and her brand new album Know-It-All. The conversation is part one of a two-part series airing as a special on Yahoo.

Geeking out like all real music fans do, Swift passionately questioning Cara about the "worst party ever" that inspired the song. "I love that there are, like, four different times where you threaten to leave the party in the song," says Swift with a laugh.

Cara talked about growing up with Italian-immigrant parents in Canada (she speaks fluent Italian) and shared the philosophy of her music and message of being yourself, a point the two bonded over.

Know-It-All is currently sitting at #10 on the iTunes album chart.
