CHERRYTREE'S KIERSZENBAUM PARTING WAYS WITH INTERSCOPE

Cherrytree Records founder/chief Martin Kierszenbaum will be parting ways with partner label Interscope at year’s end.

The well-liked, global-minded exec provided a U.S. label home for hit U.K. artists Ellie Goulding (who will have a Top 3 debut this week) and Disclosure; other inkings to Cherrytree include Feist, Robyn, La Roux, Far East Movement and (with will.i.am) LMFAO.

His latest international endeavor is chanteuse Myléne Farmer, whose new album just hit #1 in France.

A member of the Iovine cabal at the company, Kierszenbaum has been at Interscope for 17 years and at UMG nearly 25; he served as a senior A&R exec at Interscope and has A&R’d recordings by Lady Gaga and Sting, among others.
