CLIVE & NEIL HEART IRVING AT PRE-GRAMMY GALA

Clive Davis and Neil Portnow are throwing a party on Valentine’s Day, and Irving Azoff will get the big chocolate heart. The 2016 Grammy Awards fall on Feb. 15, meaning the annual pre-Grammy gala at the Beverly Hilton falls on Feb. 14. The Grammy Salute to Industry Icons will honor Azoff with the President's Merit Award for his achievements in the industry and philanthropy.

That puts Swirv in the company of past recipients including Herb Alpert, Jerry Moss, Marty Bandier, Berry Gordy, Mo Ostin, Doug Morris, Lucian Grainge and His Cliveness himself.

A who's who of the biz will of course be there with bells on.

Said Portnow of his former boss at Arista Records in the early ’80s: "Teaming with the legendary Clive Davis for the last eight years, our annual Pre-Grammy Gala has proven not only to be an unforgettable evening with unique and exciting performances, but it serves as the perfect kickoff to Music's Biggest Night. This year, we are proud to honor Irving Azoff—a visionary of our industry whose passion and innovation, combined with his championing some of the world's greatest superstars, has helped to shape the musical landscape for decades."

Stay tuned for updates, including a list of performers.
