ADELE'S SET IN STONE

A typically understated Adele is on the cover of Rolling Stone's 11/19 issue, shot by Theo Wenner, as the campaign for the XL/Columbia singer's highly anticipated third album, 25, heats up. Interviewed by Brian Hiatt, the British soulstress discusses her comeback and the feeling that it might have been a year too late, her losing touch with popular culture and the six-month process it took to write "Hello," along with a fear of fame and love of RihannaLana Del Rey and Madonna.

In the comprehensive feature, manager Jonathan Dickins assures there will be plenty more Adele to come; "I think she'll make 20 records," Dickins tells Hiatt. "We're playing for the long game."

According to Rolling Stone, 25 combines '90s Madonna ballads with "The Girl From Ipanema" on "Million Years Ago." Meanwhile, on Max Martin/Shellback track "Send My Love (To Your Lover)," catchy modern songs are built around African-style guitars.

Channeling Elton John and Barbra Streisand, "When We Were Young" was co-written with singer-songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr., while "Remedy" is a Ryan Tedder-penned "big ballad with rolling piano chords," writes Hiatt.

Bruno Mars, Danger Mouse and Paul Epworth are also named collaborators, and Adele names one of the chief inspirations for 25 as Madonna's Ray of Light. You can read through the full feature here.

After revealing "Hello" during an on-air interview with BBC Radio 1 Breakfast host Nick Grimshaw on 10/23, Adele gave her first print interview in three years to i-D Magazine.

TV appearances are rumored to be a big part of the rest of 25's marketing campaign, with a SNL performance set for 11/21, the night after 25 is released. She'll also be taping her Radio City Music Hall special on 11/17, with insiders saying it will likely air 12/14.

Clear your diaries; it's gonna be one to remember.
