KANE BROWN: A "SOBER" ASSESSMENT

Unsigned country singer/songwriter Kane Brown continues to blow up. After premiering on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show this morning (his 22nd birthday, as it happens), his new single, "Used to Love You Sober," is #2 overall and #1 Country at iTunes, while his prior EP, Closer, is #11 on the album side. He first pinged industry radar barely two weeks ago with his cover video of George Strait's "Check Yes or No," which became a viral phenomenon. The EP has sold 20k+, and label and pub derbies are well underway.
