The Drake-Future mixtape will become available for streaming on Spotify and all other streaming services when its Apple Music exclusivity window closes on Friday. This will come as a relief to Spotify users, who've been complaining about the music being unavailable outside the Apple paywall and iTunes.
You'll recall that Spotify spurned Dr. Dre's Compton: A Soundtrack after its Apple exclusive ended. Dre is of course closely associated with Apple due to the $3 billion Beats acquisition. While Drake was reportedly paid $19m by Apple, part of which deal secured him as a Beats 1 presenter, he would appear to be comparatively agnostic.
