YE JOLLY OLDE iTUNES U.K. CHARTS REDUX

While it’s Labor Day here in the US of A, it’s just another day of labour in Great Britain. Starting today, we’re shifting our weekly sales snapshots from Fridays to Mondays in reaction to global release day.

On Friday, The Weeknd and Justin Bieber topped the albums and singles chart, respectively; today, it’s Jess Glynne and Ministry of Sound’s Sigala. Otherwise, not much has changed in 72 hours, apart from a bit of movement in the pecking order. Pricing the deluxe edition of Sam Smith's album at £5.99 resulted in his reappearance on the big board—ditto for the Foo Fighters’ hits collection. So now we know that not every resident of the United Kingdom has purchased this LP.
