Taylor Swift Praises Def Jam Newcomer

Def Jam newcomer and "Here" songstress Alessia Cara has been buzzing for a few months now, but on Tuesday she hit a new high. The 19-year-old Canadian newcomer just received what's arguably the most valuable form of recognition next to a Grammy: a glowing Taylor Swift tweet.


This isn't the first time the hardest-working superstar in showbiz has shown the Toronto native some love, though. Back in July, Swift jumped on Twitter to praise Cara's BBC Radio 1 Piano Session performance and cover of Tay's "Bad Blood." Watch her take on the smash (including Kendrick's verse) here.
