MILEY FLOATS ON SOUNDCLOUD

Interesting to note that Miley Cyrus' highly experimental new set, Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, is available for free streaming on SoundCloud without any RCA or Sony branding. The set is only listed as a Smiley Miley Inc. production.

Sony currently has no deal with SoundCloud; it's been reported that the album does not count against Miley's deal with RCA.

"Dooo It," which the artist performed on the VMAs, is now the #1 trending song on Soundcloud, ahead of Drake's "Back to Back Freestyle," while her "The Floyd Song" is #3 on the chart.

The exploratory album, which Cyrus recorded at home with her pals in Flaming Lips and with assistance from producer Mike Will Made-It and select guests, has gotten positive press for its bonkers creativity. It's clearly a sign of Miley's creative independence (she also ponied up the $50k to make it), and it would seem her label views it as a chance for her to get her ya-yas out before her next commercial project.
