It’s ladies’ day in the U.K., led by the double-dipping Jess Glynne, a British pop star who has yet to make a deep impression in the States. That was also the case with the late Cilla Black during the British Invasion 51 years ago. Lana Del Rey and the rapidly ascending Rachel Platten are the highest-charting American females, respectively, with Columbia U.K.’s Ella Henderson (in a featured role) and Interscope U.S. rookie Pia Mia upping the estrogen count on the singles leaderboard.
