YE JOLLY OLDE iTUNES U.K. CHARTS

It’s a very good day if you’re 5 Seconds of Summer or Nick Raphael. The Capitol Aussie power popsters (who are beginning to sound sorta like a young Weezer, doncha think?) have hit the trifecta, with a Top 5 single and EP and now a #1 album, as the preorder for their 10/23 sophomore release catapulted to the top as soon as it became available.

The charts are peppered with young stars on this Friday in mid-August, from Meghan Trainor to FKA Twigs, from The Weeknd to Little Mix. An encouraging sign indeed.
