CHVRCHES WORSHIP & GLASSNOTE NOTES

CHVRCHES, whose sophomore album Every Open Eye comes out Sept 25th on Glassnote Records, received a lovely profile in New York Magazine today.

The band's current single "Leave A Trace" debuted at #35 on the Alternative Mediabase chart this week.

Glassnote Entertainment Group founder Daniel Glass, meanwhile, sat down to discuss how his company breaks bands in a podcast with Music Business Worldwide, noting, "We stoke the little embers. We blow on it, we blow on it... we fan the flame until we have the bonfire. Then people say, 'When did that become a bonfire?'"

Other topics of discussion for Glass, who dropped gems of knowledge throughout the hour-long chat, included how the influence of Beats1 has "raised everyone's game," what he's learned from his mentors like Jerry Moss and Doug Morris and how his main goal everyday is to emulate Chrysalis and A&M Records.
