LUKE VS. DRE: CALLING THE BALL

A Winner Has Emerged in the Latest Chart Battle

Luke Bryan's Kill the Lights will prevail over Dr. Dre's Compton: A Soundtrack on this week's chart. We're ready to call the ball as follows:

Luke Bryan (Capitol Nashville) 315-330k albums, 325-340k SPS
Dr. Dre (Aftermath/Interscope) 270-280k, 300-310k

Assuming Luke's Kill the Lights bows at 300k+, it'll be the first Country album to do so since his Crash My Party in 2013.

Tune in Friday for final numbers on these and other titles. We'll also be watching closely to see how Friday's debut of the Straight Outta Compton film affects Soundtrack's numbers going forward. The rematch for next week's #1 between Dre and Luke starts this weekend.
