CHRONIC-ALLY LATE

One of the most essential elements of hip-hop music made its digital debut on Tuesday: Dr. Dre's G-funk classic The Chronic. It's streamable from Apple Music and purchasable at the iTunes Store.

It's another massive exclusive for Apple Music, along with the Taylor Swift 1989 victory and Pharrell's "Freedom." Another extraordinary artist partnership that brings great music to the streaming space.

Long legal battles with Death Row over rights have prevented The Chronic from ever being heard online before. In 2011, Dre won back digital rights after a judge settled the case by granting him 100% proceeds of all Chronic online sales and Death Row rights on physical mediums.

Dre's decision to wait it out until now to make this music available online is no doubt connected to the forthcoming Straight Outta Compton movie, which hits theaters 8/14 and will tell a whole new generation the whole story about N.W.A, Dre, Ice Cube, Eazy E and the incredible movement they started.

Wesssssssssiiiiide!!!
