CHART STORY: TWENTY ONE IS THE NEW #1

On the heels of Memorial Day Weekend, Twenty One Pilots have topped both the HITS Building Album Sales Chart and the Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart with their fourth studio album. The duo’s Blurryface officially bowed with 134k in album sales for Fueled By Ramen through ADA.

The success of this release really shows how far they've risen, considering 2013's Vessel earned a mere 6k in first week sales. It's also worth noting that their current single, "Tear in My Heart," has rocketed up the Alternative radio chart and currently sits at #8.

Meanwhile, five other debuts land in the Top 15, including Interscope's Zedd (#4, 40k), RCA's Jamie Foxx (#5, 28k), Island's Brandon Flowers (#8, 27k), Ipecac's Faith No More (#10, 25k) and Sony Latin's Gerardo Ortiz (#15, 19k).

With a gradual drop to #2, UMe's Pitch Perfect 2 ST holds one hell of a note, earning another 55k, down just 40%.

Powered by her release of the epic "Bad Blood" video, featuring Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift's 1989 (Big Machine) enjoys a 89% boost. Snagging another 40k, it moves back into the Top 3.

Since the move was single-driven, naturally, it saw an even greater jump at SPS, going #11-2 with another 91k, up 179%

With last week's release of Brantley Gilbert's deluxe version, Just as I Am's sales combined with the regular version, causing a 756% spike in album sales alone. This earned Valory another 28k as the album, originally released last year, moved #42-6. At SPS, it re-entered the chart at #10 with 35k (+392%).

Speaking of SPS bumps, Epic's Meghan Trainor saw a major boost after performing "Dear Future Husband," "Like I'm Gonna Lose You," "Lips Are Movin" and "All About That Bass" at the TODAY plaza to kick off the 20th edition of the Toyota Concert Series. Title moved #12-4 with 49k (+53%).

Meanwhile, The Voice winner, Sawyer Fredericks, debuted at #6 at SPS with 42k for his collection of Season 8 songs, released via Republic. It bowed at #24, however, on the album sales chart.

Streeting this week is the surprise, early release from RCA's A$AP Rocky, which lit the internet on fire today, and an album from Capitol Christian's Hillsong United.
