A KNOTTY PINEHURST FINISH FOR KRIM

The Pinehurst Invitational is over, sports fans. Sony/ATVEvan Prager made up a three-stroke deficit to Gian Luca Brignone and Kevin Welk to finish up plus-one on Brignone and plus-two on the fading Welk, who apparently suffered a Greg Norman-like meltdown.

“I finished ninth,” writes duffer and Sony/ATV co-prezzy Rick Krim, our “deflated” correspondent. He’s not the only one—Lenny Beer’s Clippers somehow blew a 3-1 lead, falling to the Houston Rockets in a shocking game seven ass-whupping.
