JAY Z’s EPIC FREESTYLE COUNTERATTACK

Saturday night, during his exclusive "B-Sides" concert for Tidal subscribers, Jay Z launched into a freestyle that included shots at his gargantuan rivals YouTube, Spotify and Apple, HotNewHipHop reports.

During the freestyle, Hova revealed that he’d passed up offers from both Pharrell and Jimmy Iovine as he was making the Aspiro acquisition that resulted in the March 30 Tidal relaunch. He also took on racial injustice while referencing Michael Brown, Freddie Gray and Trayvon Martin.

“So I’m the bad guy now I hear,” Jay said in his most pointed response thus far to the avalanche of anti-Tidal criticism. “All because I don’t go with the flow and ain’t nobody taking advantage of me. And I love my n—--s… I don’t know why everyone is acting like this is brand new. They ain’t give me a record contract, so I made my own record company… I’m never gonna go with the flow. I’m never gonna let nobody take over our music. I see shit that maybe you don’t see...

“I feel like YouTube is the biggest culprit,” he continued. “Them n—--s pay you a tenth of what you supposed to get. You know n—--s die for equal pay, right? You know when I work I ain’t your slave, right?”

Memphis Bleek, Young Gunz, Freeway and Beanie Sigel from Jay’s Roc-A-Fella crew joined the Chairman on stage. He also paid tribute to B.B. King, playing part of “The Thrill Is Gone” and saying, “Rest in peace, big homie.”

The freestyle is below. Here’s a video of the entire nearly two-hour concert—but don’t be surprised if it’s been removed by the time you click on the link; it is "exclusive," after all.
