LIVE NATION INSTITUTES DIVERSITY DEPT.

Live Nation chieftain Michael Rapino announced to the troops yesterday that he’s initiated the creation of a Diversity Department “to strengthen the emphasis on outreach, recruitment, leadership development and retention of a high-performance, diverse workforce.” The move, Rapino explained, came out of a desire ““to build a workforce that represents and reflects the customers we serve.”

Thelá Thatch has been named VP of Diversity, and Genevieve O'Neil will take the post of Manager of Diversity. Thatch doubles as HR Director for Insomniac and Regional Human Resources Manager for North American Concerts, while O'Neil is currently a Digital Marketing Executive.

“We will work to inspire and encourage senior management to focus and capitalize on the value of diversity with the goal of creating an educated, empowered and forward thinking workforce that sets the standard of diversity and inclusion within our industry,” Rapino promised.
