Yesterday, in the hours leading up to the NFL Draft on ESPN, Beats by Dr. Dre premiered a spot featuring former Oregon QB and 2014 Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota at home in Hawaii with family and friends. The two-minute piece bears the title “Ohana,” which means “family.” The timeless, intensely soulful track playing under the footage is “River” from impressive newcomer Leon Bridges, whose debut album, Coming Home (Columbia), drops on June 23.
Mariota went second in the draft, to the Tennessee Titans. Welcome to Music City, dude.
