PHILLIPS IN DRIVER'S SEAT AT GLOBAL LIVE

Global Entertainment, the content-creation arm of Ashley Tabor’s U.K.-based colossus, has announced the launch of Global Live, the company’s touring and festival promotion arm. The division is headed by Randy Phillips, CEO of Global Entertainment and former CEO of AEG Live.

Global Live will make a big splash with its first concert event in the U.S.: The Rolling Stones at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Independence Day, in conjunction with AEG Live.

In the U.S., Paul Korzilius, Bon Jovi’s longtime manager, will serve as SVP of Global Live. In the U.K., Sam Bush comes in as Director of Global Live. Bush joins from AEG U.K., where he was Director of Live Music and involved in booking high-profile outdoor events including British Summer Time in Hyde Park. Additionally, concert and venue industry veteran Ned Collett will act as consultant responsible for divisional operations and finance.

“Having built AEG Live from the ground up with some really gifted executives, I know what it takes to build a live entertainment company,” said Phillips. “Global is well positioned to do this again in the year 2015, and the industry is anxious for another professional, well-resourced, financially stable live promotion company to enter the market.

"As a new company, whose only mandate is not to be constrained by legacy and to focus on presenting great talent on stages around the world, we are able to independently promote and/or work with partners on a project-by-project basis."

Bush then took his turn. “Joining Global is incredibly exciting,” he began. “The ambition, drive and financial resource here means we can make some really exciting plays that will genuinely enhance the live landscape in the U.K.”

Global Live is based at Global Entertainment’s new headquarters in Westwood as well as its London offices.
