SONY’S FORECAST:
INCREASINGLY SUNNY

Sony Corp. has just sharply upgraded its forecasts for the company’s fiscal year ending March 31, saying it expects to post operating income more than three times higher than previously predicted, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Among the sources of its upbeat projection is Sony Music, whose sales should exceed previous expectations, along those of videogames, financial services and the camera division.

Sony is expected to report earnings for the January-March quarter and the full financial year on April 30. Investors are expected to focus on the company’s outlook for the financial year ending in March 2016.
