LEN PICKS UP A FIFTH AVE. CRIB FOR A SONG

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has sold his five-bedroom duplex at 834 Fifth Ave. for $77.5m, making it the most expensive co-op transaction ever in NYC, the Daily News reports. The buyer, it turns out, is none other than fellow billionaire Len Blavatnik.

The sale price may be jaw-dropping price to us mere mortals, but it’s chump change for the well-liked Blavatnik, whose name has been bandied about as a possible buyer of Big Machine, Lava and Scooter Braun’s label and management company. But many believe his ultimate play would be a pro sports franchise, which is where the biggest action is these days.

Insiders say these “minor music deals” are just not that interesting to Len, who’s happy that WMG is throwing off some cash despite the debt and reported loses. Now his parties have A-list attendees, and his backstage pass is solid platinum.
