Singer/songwriter James Bay's debut album bows at #1 this week, while, Sam Smith holds at #2 and American blues musician Seasick Steve bows at #4 with his fourth Top 10 album. Kendrick Lamar rounds out the Top Five, as To Pimp a Butterfly drops four places. George Ezra, who's been a ficture on the big board for months, moves #8-6. Avant-folk artist Laura Marling debuts at #7 with Short Movie and The Cribs enter at #9 with their third Top 10 record, For All My Sisters.

On the singles side, straight off the momentum of her smash with Clean Bandit, Jess Glynne rockets to a #1 debut with her “Hold My Hand,” while James Bay stays right on her heels at #2. Years & Years are down a spot to #3 despite sitting at #1 in airplay at Capital and Top Five at BBC Radio 1. Rihanna/Kanye/Paul McCartney’s “FourFiveSeconds” has strong airplay as well but slips a notch to #4. Ellie Goulding holds at #5, and recent singles chart mainstays Sam Smith/John Legend, Hozier, Maroon 5, Mark Ronson and The Weeknd all stick around.
