HITS President and Queen of Alternative Karen Glauber—shown here after yesterday’s Madisen and the Mama Bear set (with Daniel Glass lurking just out of frame)—will preside ("host" just doesn't suffice) over the SXSW panel "I Wrote That Song" today, Friday, at 12:30 in Room 18ABC of the Convention Center. Panelists and performers include Marshall Crenshaw, Mac MacCaughan, Spoon's Britt Daniels, Nada Surf's Matthew Caws and Arcade Fire's Will Butler, as well as a very special guest. Attendees will compete to write a perfect pop song encapsulating President Glauber's virtues; special attention will be paid to the middle eight.
