To our friends and family members:
You won’t be seeing much of us during the next seven days. We’re getting our collective game face on for the first New & Developing Artist Special Issue of 2015, which will be printed on high-quality paper stock (disguising the third-rate editorial content, as usual) next week.
This will be our initial N&D drill without longtime spiritual advisor Mark Pearson, who’ll be legs up with a book and a drink (to co-opt the indelible lyric by Squeeze’s Chris Difford) in front of the flatscreen watching his beloved Giants in spring-training mode while we labor away, resentful as shit.
In the meantime, say a little prayer for us to the spirit of your choosing, Let’s plan on clinking glasses next Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
