LUCKY GET: NILE RODGERS HEADS TO WB

Nile Rogers and his platinum-selling funk crew CHIC have inked a global recording contract with Warner Bros., through a deal with Land Of The Good Groove, a new label founded by Rogers and veteran Warner exec Michael Ostin.

WB will handle distribution and artist services for the acts signed by the team, who have a long, illustrious history together. "My relationship with Warner and Michael formerly started with 'Like A Virgin,' said Rodgers. "The album is Double-Diamond, just like our friendship is."

Ostin gushed, "To be partnering with Nile during this exciting chapter of his career and to be back in Burbank at Warner Bros., a building that served as my second home since childhood, is an unimaginable dream come true."

The celebration was briefly interrupted by two French robots, who also turned out to be friends of Rodgers.

Tomorrow, Chic's iconic disco jam "Le Freak" will be inducted into the 2015 Grammy Hall of Fame, and Rodgers is wrapping up the the first new CHIC album in 25 years, with a single scheduled for 3/20, followed by the album in June.
