GRAMMY PANEL PROBES "THE NEW A&R"

Pentatonix, Us the Duo Perform

The Recording Academy will present "Grammy Connect: The New A&R," a panel discussion with live performances, on Wed., 2/4 at 6pm at YouTube Space L.A.

Participants include YouTube Artist & Label Relations exec Margaret Hart, SB Projects' Brad Haugen, Capitol A&R Sr. Director Alex Wilhelm and The MGMT Company's Jonathan Kalter.
RCA's top-selling a cappella kids Pentatonix and Republic's Us the Duo will perform. DJ Skee will moderate; a VIP reception follows the talk. Media may RSVP to [email protected].

Topics under discussion will be the evolution of talent discovery, harnessing new media and what it is about Kalter's face that makes you want to give him such a zetz. YouTube videos of kitties on turntables may also be involved.
