Contrary to widespread reports that have surfaced this morning (including the "industry bible") Jay Z is apparently not buying Hot 97 (WQHT) New York. Insiders at Emmis Broadcasting say there is zero truth to the rumor, and that the company has never had a conversation with Jay or anyone representing him regarding a purchase.
