OK Go Deja Vu

DÉJĄ VU ALL OVER AGAIN: OK GO’s “This Too Shall Pass – RGM Version” clip (not to be confused with the version the group shot with the Notre Dame Marching Band) is creating such a buzz that it’s getting featured on TV news shows—we caught a segment during the 5 o’clock telecast on KNBC-TV featuring the Rube Goldberg-style effects, which were shot in one take—the 60th; it took that many attempts for all the gizmos to do what they were supposed to do in synchrony. The clip has gotten north of a 1.5 million YouTube views in just two days. And no wonder—just take a look at it. Props to Synn Labs of Echo Park, whose brainiacs designed the moving parts, and director James Frost. (3/4a)
