NARM Backs Velocity

NARM PICKS UP SPEED: NARM voiced its support for UMG's newly announced Velocity program (see HITS story here)  to drop wholesale pricing on CDs.  "Universal's bold move will draw positive reaction from both stores and fans," said NARM Chairman of the Board Rachelle Friedman, who then asked for a penny change for $10, which is the new MSRP for CDs under the plan.
