MARKETSHARE AT FIRST TURN: With the first quarter of 2010 drawing to a close, EMI Music, which actually inched ahead of WMG in U.S. new-release share during February, continues to hang close as we near the end of Q1, at 12.4% compared to Warner’s 12.8%, pulled along by the impressive 5.5% registered year-to-date by Mike Dungan’s Capitol Nashville; by comparison, Capitol Virgin stands at 3.1%. Meanwhile, the late-2009 hot streaks on the part of Rob Stringer’s Columbia Epic (10.1%), Jimmy Iovine’s IGA (8.8%) and Barry WeissRCA Jive (8%) have continued through Q1 of this year.
