Rascals reunite after 40 years

AIN’T GONNA EAT OUT OUR HEARTS ANYMORE: The original lineup of Hall of Famers The Rascals—Felix Cavaliere, Eddie Brigati, Gene Cornish and Dino Danelli—will perform for the first time in 40 years at the Kristen Ann Carr benefit Saturday night at Robert DeNiro's Tribeca Grill. The annual fundraiser is honoring Steve Van Zandt and his wife Maureen. "We first met around 1980 to discuss reuniting the band and have tried every five years or so," said Van Zandt. "Maureen suggested we give it one more shot, and sure enough it took Kristen's amazing spirit to finally get it done. Rehearsals have been incredible, and of course my hope is they can stay together and finally show the world why they are one of rock & roll history's greatest bands." (4/23a)
