Trade Winds Blowing
TRADE WINDS: Look for the venerable Hollywood Reporter to go weekly starting later this summer, while insiders are saying Daily Variety, now behind the pay wall, wants to beef up its music coverage. Ex-Billboard and Reporter scribe Chris Morris has been filing reports for Variety on a free-lance basis. The traditional trades have been facing serious competition from aggressive industry coverage by online bloggers like Nikki Finke, Sharon Waxman and The Huffington Post. (4/23p)
