BEYOND THE BEYOND: One record executive told FT.com reporter Andrew Edgecliffe-Johnson that his company was still negotiating terms but liked Beyond’s “pay-per-play” approach. “A model focused on capturing plays is extremely attractive,” he said, adding that Beyond’s technology could in time be applied to video and print content, to help media owners tackle film piracy and the news industry’s challenged business model.
