Pandiscia upped at EMI; Stupak to replace Schaidler at Sony

THIS JUST IN: EMI’s Dominic Pandiscia is getting a phat promotion. He’ll take over as EVP Music Services worldwide, reporting to Ronn Werre. According to an internal memo: “Dominic is going to lead EMI's Sales and Commercial Development team and oversee EMI Music’s commercial relationships in the US, Canada and Mexico, and he will also drive the expansion in the number of new and non-traditional revenue streams we are pursuing in North America, including our growing Merchandise business. He's already shown he can quickly build and scale up a business with EMI Label Services, and now we're tapping Dominic to help us increase the services and revenue streams we can offer to artists and expanding the number of ways we can offer music fans more products, services and music experiences in North America.” Darren Stupak will reportedly leave EMI to replace J.J. Schaidler as EVP/GM of Sony Music Distribution. (4/30a)
