JERRY KIDS: In his new autobiography, When I Stop Talking You’ll Know I’m Dead, veteran music and film exec Jerry Weintraub tells the story of being summoned by management client John Denver while on tour, unhappy and threatening to fire him. When Weintraub arrived, he proceeded to placate Denver, insisting that he fired the guy responsible for everything that had gone wrong, someone named Ferguson. The superstar calmed down when told the problem had been fixed. The kicker to the story, revealed Weintraub, was the fact there was no such person as Ferguson. (5/3p)
