1m iPads sold in 28 days

PADDING FIGURE: Apple says it sold its millionth iPad last Friday, just 28 days after making the tablet available. By comparison, it took the company 74 days to sell that many iPhones. "Demand continues to exceed supply, and we're working hard to get this magical product into the hands of even more customers," Steve Jobs trumpeted in a press release. During the same period, iPad buyers have downloaded north of 12 million apps and 1.5 million e-books. (5/4a)
