Fela: 11 Tony noms









MOST HAPPY FELA: Mega-props to our pal Suzi Dietz (the infinitely better half of HITS Editor in Chief Lenny Beer), co-producer of the hit Broadway musical Fela!, which picked up no less the 11 Tony nominations this morning, tying it in total noms with the revival of La Cage aux Folles. Fela! will go up against Green Day's American Idiot, Memphis and Million Dollar Quartet for Best Musical. You can peruse all the categories and nominees on the N.Y. Times site. (5/4a)
