Fela! on Tour
FELA! HITS THE ROAD: Fela!, the Broadway smash recently nominated for 11 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, will undertake a domestic and international tour in the fall of 2011, with Chicago, Dallas, Houston, L.A., Minneapolis, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Tempe and Washington among the scheduled stops. The world tour is in addition to the special engagement at London’s National Theater from Nov. 6-16 later this year. Said producers Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith: "We are honored to be presenting this wonderful production and are thrilled that audiences throughout the U.S. and around the world will have the opportunity to enjoy it.” The original Broadway cast album comes out on Knitting Factory Records June 8.
