Chris Anokute to Universal Motown

MUSICAL CHAIRS: Chris Anokute, the Capitol Music Group exec who originally brought Katy Perry to Jason Flom with Angelica Cob-Baehler, is leaving the label to become SVP A&R for Universal Motown Records. Anokute A&R’ed Perry’s debut album, One of the Boys, as well as just finishing her sophomore album, which includes the hit single, “California Gurls,” and comes out August 24. His first project for Sylvia Rhone’s label, where he will be in charge of developing its pop/crossover roster, is Christian TV, a controversial pop act from Detroit, with a debut single, "When She Turns 18", set to impact radio later this summer.
