WORLDWIDE PANTS: Levi’s has launched a music promotion, “Levi’s Pioneer Sessions: The Revival Recordings” featuring remakes of hits from some of today's top artists. The first two songs will be Nas covering Slick Rick’s “Hey Young World” and the Swell Season covering Candi Staton’s ‘70s disco hit, "Young Hearts Run Free.” Both songs will be available for free download, May 24 and May 27 respectively, at www.levi.com. Other songs include She & Him (Rick Nelson’s “Fools Rush In”), The Dirty Projectors (Bob Dylan’s “I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine”), Colbie Caillat (Blondie’s “Maria”), The Shins (Squeeze’s “Goodbye Girl”), Raphael Saadiq (The Spinners’ It’s a Shame”), Bomba Estereo (Technotronic’s “Pump Up the Jam”), Jason Mraz (Norman Greenbaum’s “Spirit in the Sky) and John Legend and the Roots (Ernie Hines’ “Our Generation”). In addition to the new original remakes, Levi's will also release exclusive photos, interviews with the artists, and behind-the-scenes footage from their studio recording session, all available for download.
