Mayer cancels Euro dates

HIS BODY’S NOT A WONDERLAND: John Mayer has canceled the remainder of his European tour and is returning home to recover from an intestinal illness, according to a statement on his site. Mayer will miss gigs in Amsterdam, Madrid and Manchester. He already canceled the May 31 show in Copenhagen. Mayer contracted an intestinal illness after the first night of two planned Copenhagen concerts, with dizziness, nausea and dehydration making him unable to perform, sources told the bible. Mayer is returning home to recover under a doctor’s supervision. He’s expected to recover in time to do his scheduled summer tour of North America, which begins July 17 in Raleigh, N.C., and runs through the middle of September. (6/4a)
