BET Honoring Prince

BET ON PRINCE: The Artist Currently Known as Prince will be presented with a lifetime achievement honor at this year’s BET Awards, which will celebrates its 10th anniversary in L.A. on June 27. The 51-year-old joins the likes of James Brown, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross and Al Green in being given the award. Said BET’s Stephen Hill: "Prince is dynamic. Prince is genius. Prince is music." The show will be hosted by Queen Latifah and include a performance by Kanye West. (6/15a)
