Gaga baseball fan

THERE’S NO FISHNET IN BASEBALL: Ya gotta hand it to Lady Gaga, whose real brilliance lies in her ability to draw attention to herself—even at her hometown’s baseball stadiums. On June 10 at the Mets’ Citi Field, Gaga flipped the bird at fans and team officials, and then, on Friday, she visited the Yankees clubhouse following a 4-0 loss to the Mets, swigging whiskey while decked out in a nontraditional uniform, her entourage blocking the press from getting in and out—prompting rumors that she’d been banned from Yankee Stadium altogether. She's not banned," GM Brian Cashman curtly informed the Daily News. "There is a time for things like that and that wasn't it. After a loss is the wrong time." The Mets’ response is more lighthearted: the team will mock her Wednesday night, when they launch "Go Gaga for Wright," a campaign to help David Wright get elected to the All-Star Game. The first 20k fans at the game against the Tigers will get a blue over-sized foam finger—the index finger, not the middle one—emblazoned with "Make Wright #1." (6/21a)
