PEARL JAM MAKES “WAVES”: Pearl Jam has made their new music video, “Amongst the Waves” the linchpin of its “Oceans Campaign,” which involves bringing attention to the plight of our waters in the aftermath of April’s Gulf Oil Spill. The band is collecting information about possible solutions, with the results posted at www.pearljam.com/oceans, along with the video, which debuted today on www.nationalgeographic.com as well. The clip will be for sale starting July 6 on iTunes, with proceeds to benefit Conservation International, one of the band’s environmental partners. Pearl Jam has donated $50k to date to the Gulf Restoration Network and will double this total over the next two months in supporting recovery and mitigation efforts. The video, interspersed with surfing footage, was shot during the band's recent U.S. tour at the Philadelphia Spectrum last Oct. 31. (6/30p)
