Forbes Top Music Earners

THE RICH GET RICHER: Even with Bono’s bad back forcing show cancellations, U2 topped the Forbes magazine’s Top 10 list of music’s biggest earners, raking in $130 million over the last 12 months, including touring and recording. AC/DC ($114m), Beyonce ($87m), Bruce Springsteen ($70 million), Britney Spears ($64 million), Jay-Z ($63m), Lady Gaga ($62m), Madonna ($58m) and Kenny Chesney ($50m) rounded out the leaders, with a three-way tie for 10th between the Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay and Toby Keith ($46m). The only newcomer to this year's Top 10 was Gaga at #7, just ahead of her Material Girl inspiration. (7/20p)
