Urban Grammy Benefit

URBAN DEVELOPMENT: Keith Urban headlined Friday night’s Grammy Foundation benefit at the L.A. Tennis Center at UCLA, attracting a slew of EMI Music execs, including North American head Ronn Werre, A&R chief Nick Gatfield, Capitol Nashville head Mike Dungan (his left arm in a sling after recent rotator cuff surgery) and corporate communications queen Jeanne Meyer, along with NARAS' Neil Portnow, Scoop Marketing’s Larry Solters, L.A. Times’ Todd Martens, USA Today’s Edna Gunderson and veteran music scribe Chris Willman. The highlight of the show, which featured opening act the Avett Brothers, was when Grammy Camp members joined Urban on-stage for a rousing performance of “Days Gone By.” The Grammy Foundation raises money for music education in schools.
