Klein Joins eMusic
KLEIN FOR STEIN AT EMUSIC: Adam Klein has been named President/CEO at eMusic, starting Aug. 23, replacing Daniel Stein, who will continue as Chairman of the digital music club, CEO of parent company Dimensional Associates and President of JDS Capital, the private equity firm which just acquired full ownership of The Orchard. The 20-year vet boastts extensive experience in strategic, operational and organizational change with both established and technology-led media companies. He was lead partner with Booz Allen Hamilton’s media practice, Boston Consulting Group and his own Klein & Co. He’s also held executive roles at AskJeeves.com, Hasbro, VideoEgg, EMI Music, MTV Networks and South African Broadcasting Corp. Klein currently runs his own consultancy, Media Leader LLC, and is an adjunct professor at Columbia University Journalism School. (8/3p)
