Jackyl Shot out of a Cannon

CANNON FODDER: Jackyl’s chainsaw-wielding vocalist Jesse James Dupree marked the 70th anniversary of the world-famous Sturgis Bike Rally, as well as the release of his new album through Fontana Distribution, by getting shot out of a cannon at the South Dakota event. The band performed at the Full Throttle Salon, where Dupree was joined on-stage for a new song by Run-DMC’s Darryl McDaniels. “Fun, music and motorcycles, and if that isn’t enough, seeing Jesse shot out of a cannon was a true highlight,” marveled Fontana President Ron Spaulding, who showed up in his own sleeveless leather vest for the occasion. The band’s new album, aptly titled When Moonshine and Dynamite Collide, came out in May on their own Mighty Loud Records. (8/20p)
