Lennox Joins UMG

WOULD WE LIE TO YOU? Not when it comes to Annie Lennox, who has signed a long-term worldwide recording agreement with UMG after spending her whole career with the RCA Music Group, both as a solo artist and member of Eurythmics. She’ll release her new album, A Christmas Cornucopia, Nov. 22 through Island Records UK and Decca Records in the U.S. and the rest of the world. The album includes some of her favorite carols as well as an original, “Universal Child.” Consider it a coup for UMG Co-CEO Lucian Grainge, who stated: “There are precious few artists who redefine the boundaries of popular music like Annie. We are delighted to be part of the next exciting chapter in her already storied career.” (8/23a)
